Nice gravel path along the northern Sava river bank stretches from the Jankomir Bridge in the west to Most mladosti in the east.

Extension of this bike path from Slovenian border in the west until Turopolje in the east is planned and definitely badly needed as a backbone of the biking infrastructure in the Zagreb County.

Follow the embankment to Jankomir (cross the bridge), and further to the beautiful (slightly hidden) lake Rakitje.
From the bridge, another 500m along the embankment and then through a hidden passage to the lake ;)

The Sava embankment is a great place for cycling, running or walking. In the future, the Greenway cycling-pedestrian route will extend there. Maybe in the 21st century. The envisioned Greenway cycling route would stretch 130 kilometers from the border with Slovenia to the eastern end of Zagreb County in Turopolje, following the course of the Sava River.
