The former spinning mill A of the Gronau textile company Gerrit van Delden was built in 1892 after only a year and a half of construction to replace a previous building that had burned down. With its impressive brick facade and the stair tower facing the street, the Wilhelminian-era building is one of the region's most important industrial monuments. As a result of economic structural change, the spinning mill was closed in 1982. The property was acquired by the State Development Corporation in 1985. Construction work on the spinning mill began in mid-1989.
