The special thing about the building is its creation. Around fifty artisans from Europe, Japan and the United States had built the bridge in the summer using traditional tools and handicraft techniques, without using machines, electricity or modern technology. The basis was a cooperation between the Hanseatic City and the association Kesurokai e.V. to preserve traditional handicraft techniques. Mountain biking

The covered wooden bridge in the middle of the zoo is truly a special sight.
It ensures that pedestrians and cyclists can cross the Hasenburger Bach with dry feet. It is 2.30 meters wide, has a span of eight meters and is 3.11 meters high, so that even cyclists can easily pass under it.
