Morsumkoog The 765-hectare Koog was named after the parish of Morsum, which disappeared in 1634, and is once protected by a dike that is a good eight kilometers long, in the east of the island of Nordstrand. Thanks to excellent organization and modern construction methods, the roofing of this Kooge in 1866 was the fastest up to that point and lasted only a few months.
