In the Zucca district stands the "Soca Tower" or Zucca.

The building was built in the 12th century and in 1462 it was used as the foundation of the apse of the church of S. Giorgio: this operation led to the lowering of the tower and the change of function, from defensive to commercial and on the ground floor two large warehouses.

The tower, with a quadrangular base, is made of large square blocks of log, extracted from the nearby Grè quarries, along the lake in the Castro area, well leveled or ashlared.

On the ground floor there are two twin entrances with pointed arches and a splayed rectangular window, while on the first floor there are windows with sandstone rings similar to portals.

The brothers Giovanni and Francesco Celeri, owners of the Soca tower, donated the tower before 1476 for the expansion of the Church of San Giorgio.

The presbytery of the Church partially overlapped the Tower, reduced in height, and today represents a unique example of a tower surmounted by a Church.
