Within 18 months, the Kaiser Wilhelm Monument was completely renovated until its opening on 8 July 2018. The elaborate reconstruction of the original ring terrace was carried out with the help of large quantities of cement. At a depth of up to 30 meters, the restored ring base made of Oberkirch sandstone can now be seen.
