At the top you can simply hike from the path over hewn steps on the rocks. From below (the approach leads south around the rock) you can find some very nice lines that are all great to secure. In the quite simple but recommendable chimney under the roof (south chimney, 3+) it can be damp a little longer after rain. A little untypical for the granite of the area, one can also find plenty of moldings here.

Rock climbing

Around 1860 6 factories were built along the Oker - wood grinding shops powered by the Oker's water power. Opposite the 5th factory (from the north) is the Eschwegefelsen as the lowest rock of the student cliffs, named after the founder of the factory, Kammerassessor v. Eschwege is named. The rock can be found in the lower III. Difficulty level UIAA must be exceeded. The security options in the iron-hard granite are excellent.
