I chose the arduous ascent from Rühle. I was rewarded with a fantastic view over the Weserbergland! Then I drove the Vogler-Kammweg (mostly very nice single trail) past the Bodoturm and Königszinne to Bodenwerder. Very nice tour!

On the summit of the Ebersnacken stands the 26 m high Ebersnackenturm, a wooden half-timbered construction observation tower, whose observation deck towers above all treetops.
Originally built in 1890 a 13 m high survey tower. 1922, a new tower was built, which collapsed in 1946. Only in 1960 a tower was built again, which was replaced in 1989 by a new, today's Ebersnackenturm. This wooden tower, weighing a total of 15.5 tons, was flown up the mountain in two stages using a British Air Force helicopter and assembled there on 6 September 1989. At the tower is a sign with the report attached to this event. In 2000, a restoration took place. [4]
From the tower you can enjoy not only the panoramic view in the Vogler and on the surrounding Weserbergland, because the view extends, among other things, to the west to the Hermann Monument in the Teutoburg Forest and east to the Harz.

If you look down from the tower you can see that the benches represent the Weserbergland Wanderzeichen
