Along the road suggested by Konoot, which cuts from the Stilaro river towards Riace Marina, crossing fields and orchards, you will come across a pleasant surprise. It was not marked on the map, but along a rather challenging stretch of dirt road uphill, the effort is rewarded by the sight of a small but pretty lake. Reached the top and turning left, you can better admire the intense blue color surrounded by the green of a reed bed. Nice stop before diving back into the blue of the Ionian Sea.
