is an example of a 14th-century fortified building. It was built during the reign of King Casimir the Great. The castle is located on a high embankment on the left bank of the Czarna Przemsza and was an important link in the defense system of Poland's western border against invasions from Silesia and the Czech Republic. The castle also ensured the security of water and land trade routes, among other things. Trade route from Silesia to Kraków. The complex houses one of the largest collections of weapons and armaments in Poland.
