Road cycling

For me the Little Red Riding Hood cycle path starts here in Niederaula. If you want to start the tour at the train station in Bad Hersfeld, you can cycle on the Fulda bike path to Niederaula. The cycle path leads from Niederaula to Oberaula-Wahlshausen off the railway line through the Aula valley. From Oberaula-Wahlshausen to Schwalmstadt-Treysa you cycle on the route of the former "Knüllwaldbahn" through meadows and forests, villages and half-timbered towns.
The Rotkäppchenland cycle path is currently being extended (from Treysa to Neustadt). Parts of it are already finished.
