In many places in Hirschhagen you can find the remains of bunkers and buildings of the former explosives factory from World War II. Forced laborers were used here by the Nazis to do dangerous and unhealthy work in the munitions and explosives factory. Many of them died as a result or from poor care and treatment, or they were deported from here to other concentration camps.
There is a themed trail (approx. 5 km) on which you can explore the past with 15 stations or you can also book guided tours.
