The first mention of a mill was in 1346. In 1729 the old mill was demolished and rebuilt. In 1773 and 1843 the conversion from a pure grinding mill to an oil mill took place. In 1887 a fire destroyed the mill and residential building; the reconstruction was completed in 1888. A sawmill was also operated. In 1953 the milling operation was discontinued. Today there is a locality and a nice campsite nearby.
