At Senaru Crater Rim, there are some of the finest views to be experienced anywhere including of Danau Segara Anak and the peak of Gunung Rinjani. The rim is a great location to watch sunrise and sunset.

Officially, you are not allowed into the park without a guide. You cannot book tickets for the national park yourself. We managed to sneak past the ranger's house at 4am. However, we were caught on the way back and ended up paying the entrance fee for the park.
