The place Aguas Calientes (also "Machu Picchu Pueblo") does not offer much and only serves the tourists as a starting and ending point during the tour up to the old Inca city. There are many restaurants, bars and hotels, but otherwise virtually no tourist destinations.
Interesting: There are no cars in the whole town because there is no road connection to civilization either. All goods are pushed up and down the sometimes steep streets on hand trucks.

You arrive here, in this small place, and you simply expect great things. And you are rewarded. It's just gigantic. Thanks to Augusto Berns for looking for the city of El Dorado.
