A cozy place for a short rest, with a trash can. There is also a sign with the flora and fauna that represent life on the lake.LG M&T

The Burghammer reservoir or Bernsteinsee (Upper Sorbian: Jantarowy jězor) is a lake south of Burghammer near Hoyerswerda in Upper Lusatia (Saxony).
It is the remaining hole of the exhausted Burghammer open-cast mine, which was flooded from July 1997 to 2006.
The lake functions as a water management reservoir.
The lake is connected to the Lohsa II reservoir and other lakes. The inflow comes from Lohsa II, the water flows into the Kleine Spree.
There are also differing details about the storage space, the usable space and the water surface.
The Bernsteinsee is part of the Lusatian Lake District and is intended to be used for recreational purposes.
Entering the banks and using the lake is prohibited due to possible landslides.
After the banks have been compacted, it is intended to be used for gentle tourism. Two local beach areas are planned near Burghammer and Burg with lawns, sanitary facilities, boat docks, sports facilities and restaurants.
Water sports will be reserved for sailors and rowers; motorboats will not be permitted.
