The beach hosts a work of art called UP # 3. Initially designed to be ephemeral, this monumental sculpture seduced the inhabitants of Le Havre and the town hall decided to perpetuate the sculpture.

Despite the mostly coarse pebbles, the beach of Le Havre is a pretty active destination close to the city center, thanks to the popular promenade and a variety of sports facilities.
As of 2018 the beach and nearby public spaces became open air displays of large outdoor sculptures for the city's 500th anniversary celebrations.
