Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)
Recommended by 11 mountain bikers
Location: Stadl-Predlitz, Bezirk Murau, Styria, Austria
Single trail with rock gradients, berms and jumpable rock drops, surrounded by beautiful plants and wet spots.
If you like stones (dialect: Stana, Stoana), you'll be happy. You can sneak down this medium-difficulty single trail from the snow park summer camp above the Almstube directly to the Kornock valley station. Low berms, rock drops (stone steps) and lots of rock gardens await you. On the 700 meters or so, you'll roll over a few wet spots, get some "dirt" and get shaken up. Good riders can "clear" one or two drops and "slow riders" will also get to see one or two rare plants in the surrounding meadows. The last section currently (2021/22) leads briefly uphill due to the construction site of the torrent control. After the torrent control is completed, you will get an additional trail section that will take you along the torrent back to the valley station. Info for beginners: The first moderately difficult single trail on the Turracher Höhe! After mastering the Kornock Flowtrail, this trail is your next step up. You can practice riding rock gardens and roots in a safe environment on the technical trail #2 with the bike guides from the bike schools. History: In this area, all kinds of goods were smuggled from north to south and south to north. Trail characteristics: Moderately difficult single trail (on the easier side), 75m elevation, 690m
