Unfortunately only a small foundation section. Still, it was exciting to read about it and visit the wall in the forest.

The Rhine has already washed away most of the fortifications. The story behind it is extremely fascinating. After the Romans were forced to abandon their conquered territory north of the Rhine due to repeated attacks by the Alemanni (=all men; a group anyone could join regardless of their origin), they secured the bridge to the city with this fort. Interestingly, they also used Alemannic mercenaries.Remains of the three northern towers can be seen, and the two rear ones also have a rest area. It's a dead end, but extremely fascinating for those interested in history.
