The Panten Bridge is a double bridge, with the newer bridge being placed on top of the older one. Because the previous bridge has been preserved to this day, construction techniques from different bridge building eras can be viewed in a very small space. In 1997 the bridge was renovated and I had the honor of being a bricklayer with the Rüesch company. The lower stone bridge was built in 1853/54, with the construction of a road from Tierfed to Hintersand in 1899-1902 over the old bridge, the new upper bridge was created.
