Jægergården, after which this street is named, was a farm built in 1724 as a hunting lodge under the Marselisborg estate in Aarhus. It underwent several reconstructions over the years and was demolished in 1910.Jægergården was located at the eastern end of Jægergårdsvej (today's Jægergårdsgade).
