The Hidden Valley lies between two high mountain passes, namely French Col and Thapa La at an altitude of about 5,100 m. The huge flat area at the upper Hidden Valley is often used as a campsite by trekking groups who are going around the Dhaulagiri. Temperatures are rather cold at night and can go down to around -15° Celsius.
