Behind the sand dune at Cape Melissa begins a long, largely untouched sandy beach that leads to the cliffs of Triopetra. From the dune, the view extends north-west to the monastery of Preveli (12 km as the crow flies) and the striking river incision of the Megalopotamos, at the mouth of which the palm beach of Preveli is located.

Agios Pavlos (Greek: Άγιος Παύλος (m. sg.) 'Saint Paul') is the name of several villages in Greece. A more well-known village of this name is located on the south coast of the Greek Mediterranean island of Crete. It belongs to the local community of Saktouria, within the municipality of Agios Vasilios, and lies 27 kilometers southeast of the village of Spili. In 2011, it had 27 registered inhabitants.
