Leith Hill is probably the second most famous summit in the Surrey Hills, closely following nearby Box Hill. Reaching the top of Leith Hill might not carry the same kudos as Box Hill but it is a lot steeper and it's the highest point in the Southeast of England, so much more of a challenge and the sense of achievement at the top makes it worth it.

The main road over Leith Hill as used in the Ride London sportive and the annual Kingston Wheelers Hill Climb race. It's a tough and rewarding climb but there are more scenic (and steeper) roads up and around Leith Hill. Many people do the Leith Hill Octopus challenge that takes in at least 8 climbs of the 12 possible ones
