"The Heibos is located in Kortenaken (Hoeleden) along the upper reaches of the Paardenbeek, which has carved out a small valley here. The area consists of two large forests connected by a central meadow. Around the core area are mainly fields, meadows and a few smaller field forests. About half of the area consists of forest."
