This very nice pavilion called Shades of nature looks at the problem of the textile industry. On one side, it is made of bottle walls full of multicolored liquids. On the other, an accumulation of fabric rolls. A way to warn us against the seductions of this industry and its dyes, very harmful for the environment. The idea comes from the fact that on the island of Almere graze several hundred sheep whose mission is to remove the Giant Hogweed (Heracleum mantegazzianum), an invasive and toxic plant. To make use of the fleece of these animals, the factory De Almeerse Wolunie was created. It produces raw wool and invites designers to create with this material. An initiative that also shows the Dutch that there is no need to buy their wool in Germany or Denmark when they can easily produce it locally.Quelle: magazine.hortus-focus.fr/blog/2022/06/23/floriade-2022-une-exposition-universelle-verte-aux-pays-bas
