Hitland is a nature reserve in the Dutch province of South Holland. The area is located in the Hoogdorpse polder and partly in the Polder Esse, Gansdorp and Blaardorp south of Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel. The nature reserve is a varied area with water, forest, marsh and meadows. Traces of former use are recognizable in the current landscape. A great diversity of plants and animals can be found in Hitland.
