The Reinhardswald is a low mountain range, which belongs to the Weserbergland and in the district of Kassel on about 200 km ² between Bad Karlshafen and Kassel, Hann. Münden and Hofgeismar extends. Imposing heights and picturesque valleys, castles, palaces, towns and villages make the Reinhardswald also to the scenery, which earned him the title "Fairyland Reinhardswald". It is not for nothing that this region finds itself in the center of the German Fairy Tale Route, because numerous locations are reminiscent of the traditions that immortalized the Brothers Grimm in their fairy tales.

The northern half runs pretty lonely on super tar through the forest. On the southern half, the tar is quite rough and traffic increases. A great route through the Reinhardswald!

The Höhenstrasse is now very busy up to Sababurg, but from Sababurg to the Gieselwerder exit there is hardly any traffic, so this section is recommended.
