The St. John's Church Adelby is one of the oldest churches in fishing, it was built around 1200 from field stones. In 1726, the freestanding wooden belfry was replaced by a stone tower, and the walls of the nave were drawn to it. In the interior, the large, two-tiered wooden beamed ceiling immediately attracts attention as well as the western and northern gallery with 45 colored pictures. In the nave above the passage hangs a votive ship from 1688, a three-master with two cannon decks.
