Basthorst Castle is a castle complex built in 1823, which lies with the village of the same name on the shore of Lake Glambeck in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. This Basthorst Castle should not be confused with the Basthorst estate in the Duchy of Lauenburg. Here is a link to it:
gut-basthorst.de/das-gutThe castle is around 400 meters southwest of Glambecksee at the highest point of a slight bump. The houses of the elongated village of Basthorst are located on both sides of a southwest-northeast avenue that leads straight to the castle portal. More recent new buildings have shifted the village area mainly to the north-west. Between the castle and the lake there is a landscape park that is now largely overgrown.de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schloss_Basthorstschloss-basthorst.de/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIiqjksYWw-QIVpgIGAB13Wgi_EAAYASAAEgLxTvD_BwE
