Grodno Castle (German: Kynsburg) – a historic castle located in the Black Mountains (part of the Wałbrzych Mountains), on the top of Mount Choina (450 m above sea level) rising above the left bank of the Bystrzyca River. The valley of this river, once called the Silesian Valley, is a natural border between the Owl Mountains and the Wałbrzych Mountains located to the west of them.

The picturesque location of the castle is enhanced by the Bystrzyckie Lake located at the foot of the mountain.

Cycling

Castle from the 14th century. Partly in ruins. What is amazing is the preserved Renaissance decorations on the entrance gates. Unfortunately, an observation tower is under renovation. The bikes are best clipped to a tree somewhere below and climbed up to explore.
