The two ferry crossings are very pleasant if the weather is kind to you. The ferry from Falmouth to St. Mawes is quite large and can take many people but the ferry from St. Mawes to Place is tiny in comparison. The photo shows both ferries at the harbour wall steps at St. Mawes.

Ferry to Place runs from St Mawes to Place on the hour and half past, from Place quarter past to quarter to the hour. Remember to ask them about the tide breaks as the Quay at Place runs out of water at low spring tides.
