The castle of the Lords of Thierbach was destroyed in 1449 (City War) by the Rothenburgers.
The village of Herrentierbach and Billingsbach were burned down.
The Lords of Thierbach had looked for a new domicile after they saw no future in Wildentierbach.
After there were 2 towns belonging to the Lords of Thierbach, it was decided to add the names Herren and Wilden to both towns.
In both places there is still the stream called Tierbach.
You can still see the moat around the castle today.
