Tips
The rather inconspicuous seepage source of the Werre river is located in a tiny forest in the Wehren district of Bad Meinberg. Thanks to the benches and a rubbish bin, you can take a little break here. Due to the shady trees and the proximity of the water, it is pleasantly cool and you can cool off with a footbath in the Werre.
Danger:
- Among other things, on Google Maps there is an entry about 400m to the west about the location of the source of the Werre. How this comes about is beyond my knowledge.
- The "parking lot" at the source of the Werre, which is entered in the Kommot card, should not be overestimated. It's more of a hard shoulder stop for two or three vehicles.translated by
