The Henri Dunant Park in the Woensel district of Einhoven was created in 1972 and is 22 hectares in size. In the southern area there is a huge children's playground area ("Speelpark de Splinter") - a true paradise for the little ones. The park itself is very chic, with a rose garden to the north and an extensive pond area with a large colony of waterfowl. The site is particularly shaped and designed by Frans Gast's distinctive, 30 meter high chimney sculpture. The tubes used to stand on the piazza in the center of Eindhoven and have been in Henri Dunant Park since 2010. Six LED lights illuminate the 30 meter high work of art from the ground with white light and color accents. The lighting system is switched on in the morning and evening at the same time as the public lighting in the park, but is switched off again at night.
