From autumn to spring - when the fog lulls the Seeland back for days - a popular destination for sun-seekers. But there is always a lot going on at other times of the year. Thanks to the vastness, this is usually put into perspective. There are always moments, especially around the weekend, when you regret having gone up and just turned back (I've driven down BACKWARDS several times because of traffic jams between the pass and the hotel/restaurant, simple , because there was no way to avoid it and traffic was standing still in both directions! So it's better not to look for special occasions (August 1st, full moon, blood moon, longest / shortest day, and all other special features) to linger comfortably up there. Ideal always during the week, but then again not in the times when hiking is popular, because then it is also regularly full (my feeling).But apart from that, it is of course the case that the tower / local mountain visible from afar attracts, rightly so. It's always great up there if you know the right corners and heed the aforementioned :-)
