A few steps from the busy streets and busy towns of the Alto Vicenza area, the San Benedetto Hills are an oasis of peace and an immersion in nature.
The long rows of vines and olive trees and the gentle, sinuous lines of the hills, crowned by the slender silhouettes of cypresses, remind me of Tuscany. Every season makes them suggestive: in spring there are cherry trees in bloom; in summer the herds graze; in autumn the chestnut trees and the colors of the foliage.
Once you reach the highest part, the panorama begins to open up, with splendid views of the Marostica castle, the valleys and the edge of the Asiago plateau. The Hills of San Benedetto are so named in memory of an ancient Benedictine convent from the 13th century, which no longer exists today.
