The Lower Castle, together with its twin, the Upper Castle, is known by all as the Marostica Castle.
The castle, linked to its double by a wall approximately 1800 meters long, finds its origins in 1312, when Cangrande della Scala wanted its construction.
Today the Castle is a museum open to the public.

The Castello Inferiore is located in the northern Italian province of Vicenza. Together with its twin, the Castello Superiore, it is known as the Castello di Marostica.
With the conquest of the Vicenza area by the Scaligeri family - the lords of Verona - in 1311, Marostica also came under their rule. The construction of the two castles dates back to 1312: the Castello Inferiore, also called Castello da Basso, and the upper castle - the Castello Superiore.
