The multi-span steel girder bridge, like a jetty, has many short spans with individual spans of approximately 9 m and a usable width of 3.10 m. The central, rotating, cable-supported section, which is driven by a hydraulic cylinder, consists of a 15 m long superstructure that spans from the mast to the center of the harbor and serves as a passage for historic sailing ships to their berths in the museum harbor.
