Since the end of the 19th century Dives bears the suffix "sur mer" and has become a popular destination on the Côte Fleurie, although it has a harbor in the mouth of the Dives, but still, in contrast, contrary to the neighboring seaside resorts Cabourg (in the west) and Houlgate (in the east) is not really located by the sea.
