The Himmerlands Trail is 79 kilometers long. It is open to cyclists, hikers, and horseback riders. The trail was built on the former railway line from Logstor to Viborg. Over the course of four years, the railway line was converted into the current trail. A total of 82.5 kilometers of track, 5,500 tons of iron, rails, and 130,000 sleepers were removed. The route is Denmark's longest trail on a former railway line.
