Tips
This dirt road is a fantastic alternative to the provincial road that connects Ussita to Fiastra. The bottom is unpaved but regular while the slopes are never too steep. Coming from the Casali refuge, the road crosses a coniferous forest before reaching the meadows of Piani di Pao. From here the road splits: continuing north you arrive at Lake Fiastra while following east you reach the Fargno refuge.
