The Cossack fountain on the corner of Albanistrasse and Große Burgstrasse depicts a memorable event from 1813: the liberation of Jever from French rule by Cossack regiments from Russia. Three "wild Cossacks" with fur hats and lances on horseback adorn the magnificent fountain and are a reminder of the Russian period in Jever. This fountain was inaugurated in May 2003.
