The Renaissance-style castle has rounded corner towers at the front. In the small courtyard, there is an octagonal stair tower with a spiral staircase, the steps of which are not attached to a pillar as usual, but rather to a spindle carved into the stone. This construction has often been called the 9th Wonder of the World. The castle is privately owned and not open to the public. To the left, directly adjacent to the castle, is a manor house with outbuildings dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. This includes the Manor Sheep Farm, a Baroque structure dating from 1713, which houses the Coburg Equipment Museum, just under a kilometer away.To the east of the castle is the castle church, which was developed from a Gothic castle chapel and features two magnificent epitaphs of the Lords of Streitberg.Source:
