It is thanks to the famous Swedish sculptor Carl Milles that the church is no longer plastered. He bequeathed two sculptures to the city on condition that the church be restored to its original, unplastered condition. In front of the church now stand the sculptures “Systrarna” (two sisters reunited after death) and an angel with a trumpet.
