On April 22, 1945, three French marines were found dead about 300 meters from Rübgarten, in the direction of the Gniebler Forest. In retaliation, the advancing French set fire to 13 buildings. Since firefighting was forbidden, the houses burned down. A simple stone cross with an inscription in French, surrounded by a hedge near the cemetery, commemorates the three fallen French soldiers.

On Sunday, April 22, 1945 three French soldiers were shot near the present Aussiedlerhofes Laux.
Not far from the cemetery, surrounded by a hedge, reminiscent of the three fallen Frenchmen, a simple stone cross with inscription in French.
