The Croatian National Shrine of Our Lady of Bistrica is a Catholic Croatian Marian shrine and one of the most visited in Croatia. The Basilica of Our Lady of Bistrica is located on an elevated position in the center of Marija Bistrica and is a protected cultural asset.

The pilgrimage from Sesvet to Marija Bistrica takes about 5 hours, it is best to start at midnight and arrive around 5 in the morning, St. Mass is at 6:00. the first part of the path is lit by lighting, for the second part an overhead light is great.
