La Filature is a historic site in Gouville-sur-Mer. It was a real wool weaving factory that was founded in 1829 and enjoyed a great reputation in the region. It was an important industrial center of Gouville. The factory did not survive the First World War and the economy was greatly weakened as a result. Today there are several holiday homes available for rent around La Filature.
