Hiking
Beautiful 15th-century pub with great burgers and beers. Before opening as a tavern around 500 years ago, it was home to The Hawkhurst Gang. A group of smugglers made infamous for smuggling tea, brandy, rum and coffee from the French coast and through Hawkhurst into England.
They open from 11 am to 11 pm and if it gets a little too late to continue your walk, they have a 5-acre campsite out the back.
