Cranbrook is a charming town with medieval streets, hidden alleys, historic buildings and a working windmill from the 1800s. Known as the 'Capital of the Weald', Cranbrook has accommodation, places for food and drink, quirky shops, galleries, and other attractions. As such, it is ideal for a pit-stop or an overnight stay.

The town achieved prosperity in the 14th to 16th centuries through the cloth trade. Often called the “Capital of the Weald” it retains great charm and is dominated by a fine smock windmill built in 1814 for Henry Dobell.
